Beautifully soft and floral, this soothing Lavender essential oil is lovingly grown and distilled in France, offering a more herbaceous aroma to our other Lavender varieties. Distilled from the stalks and flowering tops of the plant, our French Lavender essential oil is soothing for the mind and body, encourages relaxation and calms the skin.

It can create a protective environment, while offering soothing sensations that some find beneficial for minor discomfort.

Key Properties

  • Encourages deep relaxation and helps promote a good night’s sleep
  • Calming and reassuring, it helps soothe the emotions
  • Relaxing for the body, it can help relieve mild aches and pain
  • Add to a blending oil for a gentle and soothing skin treatment

Our Lavender essential oil is 100% natural with no synthetic fragrances added, and is light yellow in colour.

A synergy essential oil blend is two or more essential oils working together for a greater benefit then the total of their individual effects. Kind of magic.

Lavender blends well with peppermint, eucalyptus, rosemary, lemon, and frankincense.

Lavender essential oil is a fantastic natural ingredient but needs to be used with a little caution. Essential oils can sensitive skin and shouldn't be applied to the skin directly or consumed. Please consult a doctor before use if pregnant and always keep out of reach of children.

How to use

Safety first

We know you’re keen to get started, but before you open the bottles and begin, let’s go over a couple of safety notes (don’t skip this – you need it to reap the benefits!).

  • Topical applications – all applications that are topical (applied to the skin), like massages and baths, need to be applied in dilution. This means adding your essential oil to a blending oil like sweet almond, jojoba oil, olive oil, Evening primrose oil.
  • Concentrated methods – inhalation is a concentrated method and is not recommended for Asthma sufferers.
  • Symptoms – It’s always important to check with your GP if you are experiencing new or unusual symptoms after using an essential oil.

Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s start using your essential oils!

Essential oils can be used in several ways, including massage, aromatherapy bath,  inhalation through diffusers, applying diluted oils to the skin, or adding them to baths. Always dilute essential oils with a carrier oil before applying them to the skin, and consult a doctor if you're unsure about their use.

Precautions

  • FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY
  • Do not apply undiluted to skin.
  • Check that you can use this essential oil during pregnancy.
  • Keep away from children.
  • Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Please perform a patch test before use.
  • Keep away from eyes.

How to store

Many essential oils are somewhat volatile and will quickly lose their scent if exposed to air, sunlight, or extreme temperature fluctuations.

Exposure to light can cause essential oils to oxidize rather quickly.

Exposure to air can cause oils to oxidize just as much as exposure to sunlight. Because of this, it's important to ensure that your bottles have an airtight seal.

Avoid storing your oil in any location that leaves oil in direct sunlight, including bathroom or bedroom shelves. Sunlight can cause oils to oxidize in just a few months.

Most essential oils are flammable.
